Following the remains of the Berlin Wall (or at least the markings in the snow where it use to be...) Such a beautiful day for a bike ride! Note the over sized tires Smile A few days later when the snow started to melt a bit I put the Schlammschutz on (Schlammschutz=mud guards or fenders) Cool

Too funny... I can't believe you rode on skinny tires in the snow. When I lived in Germany (southern) I would ride around on my Mountain bike in the snow and yes I had off road type fenders on it. They are very common over there unlike here.

FYI - Mud flaps or fenders for bikes are called Schutzblech (direct translation "Protective Tin") Kind of funny!!

Interesting... I was just going by what the bike mechanic called them when I asked for them... I guess it may be a local thing perhaps to Berlin/East or just perhaps to the mechanic (though a cologan at work called them the same too??!!)
